UPDATE REPORT FROM EL SALVADOR
OPEN LETTER No. 6
On Saturday November 5, 2011, we had another day more consistent distribution of food to the inhabitants of the village of Las Mesas, Caserio Los Naranjos No. 1 Tecoluca Jurisdiction, Department of San Vicente, El Salvador, Central America. This is a region located in the Lower Lempa.
We were able to bring corn, beans, rice, powdered milk for babies. Furthermore, the sisters of the Church of Christ in Quezaltepeque, accompanied tamales produced 300 French bread, which were distributed to the inhabitants of that place. It benefited 45 families, including seven Christian families.
Reaching this place is not easy, since that is where the overflow of rainwater reached its peak, there were still retained water on both sides of the dirt road.
Upon arriving at the assigned meeting point in the village of Las Mesas, the distribution of food at home we did the brother Germán Pineda. Brother expresses germ that for a week to move in the courtyard of his own house, made it through a canoe, as the height of the water level reached two meters. They were able to move normally again seven days after the rains have ceased, or until the water was consumed completely retained by the earth.
Being in this place was huge finds the prevailing poverty and need are people who truly need humanitarian aid continuously. The unfortunate thing is that once the emergency period passes, aid become very limited. One of the sons of her brother Germán their humble home was destroyed, the wooden columns supporting the roof, gave way to inundation by the enormous amount of water that invaded the entire region.
We continue to make efforts for the needy, we are aware that we do what the Lord allows us to do. They always need a bag of food, of course, the help will come at the time of start of the new corn and beans, will assist with agricultural inputs, because as we have said, their crops were completely lost. We only ask, JOIN THIS NOBLE CAUSE FOR THE NEEDY!

CARTA ABIERTA Nº 6
El sábado 5 de Noviembre de 2011, realizamos otra jornada más, consistente en repartición de alimentos a los pobladores del Cantón Las Mesas, Caserío Los Naranjos Nº 1, Jurisdicción de Tecoluca, Departamento de San Vicente, El Salvador, Centro América. Esta es una región ubicada en el Bajo Lempa.
Nos fue posible llevarles maíz, frijoles, arroz, leche en polvo para los bebés. Además las hermanas de la Iglesia de Cristo en Quezaltepeque, elaboraron 300 tamales acompañados de pan francés, los cuales fueron distribuidos a los pobladores de ese lugar. Se benefició a 45 familias, entre ellas siete familias cristianas.
Llegar a este lugar no es nada fácil, ya que ahí es donde el desborde de las aguas lluvias llegaron a su máxima expresión, todavía había agua retenida a ambos lados del camino de tierra.
Al llegar al lugar asignado como punto de reunión en el Cantón Las Mesas, la distribución de alimentos la hicimos en casa del hermano German Pineda. Expresa el hermano German que durante una semana para movilizarse en el patio de su misma casa, lo hacían a través de una canoa, ya que el nivel de altura del agua llegó a los dos metros. Pudieron volver a movilizarse normalmente siete días después de haber cesado las lluvias, o sea hasta cuando el agua retenida fue consumida totalmente por la tierra.
Estar en este lugar se constata la enorme pobreza y necesidad que impera, son personas que verdaderamente requieren de la ayuda humanitaria continuamente. Lo lamentable es que una vez pasa el período de emergencia, las ayudas se vuelven muy limitadas. Uno de los hijos del hermano German le fue destruida su humilde vivienda, los horcones que sostenían el techo, cedieron ante la inundación por la enorme cantidad de agua que invadió toda esa región.
Nosotros continuamos haciendo esfuerzos por los necesitados, estamos conscientes que hacemos lo que el Señor nos permite hacer. Ellos siempre necesitan de una bolsa de alimentos, luego, la ayuda que vendrá al tiempo del inicio de la nueva siembra de maíz y frijol, será asistirles con los insumos agrícolas, pues como lo hemos expresado, sus cosechas se perdieron totalmente. ¡Sólo le pedimos, ÚNASE A ESTA NOBLE CAUSA POR LOS NECESITADOS!
