Upcoming Mission Trip to Thailand

     The President of Truett-McConnell College, Dr. Emir Caner  has recently invited Wayne Gaines, Founder / Director of M300 Ministries to participate in an upcoming mission trip to Thailand. The mission trip is being organized as a ministry work among Muslims and Buddhist and the Hilltribe peoples in a unique jungle environment.

      Wayne has been blessed to attend the 2009 Spring Chapel Series at Truett-McConnell and after a time of reflective, prayerful consideration, felt God's leading to commit to this essential mission trip. The opportunity to sit under the teaching of Dr. Emir Caner in A Practicum in World Religions (Buddhism & Islam) as well as a Practicum in International Evangelism with a focus on Islam and Buddhism was in harmony with The Valiant Warrior Fund initiative at M300 Ministries. Dr. Canner who was raised as a Sunni Muslim and subsequently became a devout Christian, at great cost,  will lead not only in teaching about how to reach out to Muslims with the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, but will also lead participants into Islamic Mosques and Buddhist Temples where the Gospel will be shared. 

      God has given to Wayne Gaines a calling in M300 Ministries. Part of that calling is to serve as "one of the cornerstones", down in the trenches, in the dirt finding ways to share the Gospel message with those who believe in Islam. God has led the establishment of The Valiant Warrior Fund where foreign born and foreign trained missionaries are located, trained, deployed and supported into Islamic countries. Building on Wayne's foundational experience as a missionary to Latin America, God has inspired the Valiant Warrior Fund which interestingly enough supports mostly Latin Americans and Mexicans who are trained in a foreign country, in a 3 year program including training on Arabic languages, cultural training and Bible. These are men who at the risk of their own blood are led to serve and reach out with the Gospel in some of the hardest to reach people groups and places on Earth.

     Your prayers are requested for this mission trip, the resources needed for it and for the growth of ministry relationships, as God leads.

At their local church Wayne serves on The Missions Development Team, the praise ministry, as well as the prayer ministry. Wayne is 100% faith based, in a unique and exciting calling leading him to establish M300 Ministries. M300 Ministries and Wayne depend 100% upon the giving of God's people to enable him in ministry.   This important mission trip to Thailand, among other things, is an essential leading of God in regards to the The Valiant Warrior Fund at M300 Ministries. Wayne has made an initial deposit securing his commitment to be a part of this essential mission trip. The total cost of this trip is $3,070 plus evening, weekend meals and extra activities totaling over $3,500 dollars. Lord willing, the trip will take place during Spring 2009. Please start praying for this mission trip.
   Key dates in this regard are $200 dollar deposit by February 4th, 2009. This has been paid. Airfare portion $1,940 by April 10th, 2009 and a final payment by May 25, 2009.  Please prayerfully consider supporting Wayne on this essential mission trip as well as supporting M300 Ministries. Some days ago I passes along a request by Seth Barnes, Executive Director of Adventures In Missions. Some of you responded by writing a written prayer that would be read in prayer over children in Swaziland. Seth is at a airport in Joburg and sends the following update including a video of this happening. See below:

After enduring limited internet connectivity for the last ten days, I'm back on line at the Joburg airport while we wait to catch our plane.

It's been a wonderful trip. Karen debriefed our World Racers at a retreat center on the banks of the Crocodile River and then helped lead a vision trip in Nsoko, Swaziland.

Staying at the Nisela Safari Camp just a few miles down the road from our center, we ate our dinners just a few yards away from the crocodile pond (with a huge croc in it). Giraffes and zebras grazed nearby and Racers had to occasionally shoo ostriches away from their tents.

I took a number of videos and will be sharing them with you over the next week. Every day we took care of widows and orphans in some way or another. Here are four highlights from the trip:

Seeing how well our Racers are doing. We left them dancing and singing at our closing South African bar-b-q (called a "brai").
Our Nsoko base looks tremendous - so much work has been done on it. The orphans looked so much healthier!
Getting to spend time with a number of my blog readers on the vision trip was a thrill. Gabe, Kevin, and Shawn had all participated in our discipleship experiment last year.
Yesterday's shoe distribution, though chaotic, was amazing. We washed the feet of hundreds and hundreds of children and some Gogos (estimates were upwards of 700), then we prayed your prayers over them (119 of you posted them on this blog - we laminated the prayers, prayed them individually, then gave them to the children), and then we sized their feet and gave them new shoes. You should have seen their expressions when they'd get brand new Crocs or Nike sneakers! Here's a video:

  Pastor Alan Morris and his wife Becky of Concord Baptist Church are headed out on a mission trip to Ghana, Africa from March 1-8, 2009. Your prayers are requested prior to, during and after the trip.
  
• Concord is fielding a mission trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to aid in Katrina rebuilding efforts. March 2009
  
• Concord Youth Group is headed to Haiti in May 2009
  
• Concord is fielding an annual mission trip to Brazil in June 2009

Mighty 300 Ministries wishes to take a moment to welcome aboard and to thank God for our own Chaplain Major (Ret) USAF David Cannon. David is a professional Chaplain with many years of experience serving brave soildiers and christians around the world. David comes to Mighty 300 Ministries with a mission to specifically serve as a ministry resource to autonomoulsy assimilated Mighty Warriors.  We hope that in time David can extend his ministry to other staff members at assimilated Mighty Ministries.
