At M300 Ministries part of our leading is to use technology as a force multiplier. Some of our trusted leaders have to walk by foot up to 8 hours to reach the nearest internet cafe. Others have to travel by bus or other means to reach internet service. Some of our missionaries and trusted leaders have the ability to have internet in their homes, but cannot afford it. Many do not have a computer although all are proficient with computers and they are also all proficient in the English language as well as other languages.

The Missions Technology Fund is our way of addressing this issue. It is our goal to provide funds to those who have to travel to file reports and to communicate by email. It is also a goal to assist with the cost of internet cafe usage and travel cost for those who travel far distances from remote regions to share information with all of us. In some select cases we would like to be of assistance by helping to provide internet service to a local church, community leader or pastor's home.

Our effectiveness is enhanced greatly when we can show films in the native language. In order to do this we need laptop computers, projectors, generators, travel funds and digital cameras. All of this technology is best purchased on the local market due to shipping cost, and competitive global pricing. It helps us to also purchase locally in terms of warranties and repairs to equipment. A lifetime of missions experience has show many a piece of expensive equipment broken and unable to be repaired because it is not serviced or repaired in a particular country. For this reason we use wisdom to raise up funding that can be easily transferred into the hand of our trusted community leader, native pastor or missionaries to purchase such technology locally in the host country.

Electronics allow us to capture the attention of the native audiences who for the most part have never seen a film. It simply cannot be stated clearly enough how big of a leading this is and how essential technology is to our global ministry. During 2010 over 10,000 came to know about grace of God through the use of technology. Notice how we are able to teach the children and community good moral principals and behavior through the exciting medium of a projector and laptop with videos.
