Hello... They call me "LITTLE MIKEY". I am a Missionary Ant. God once said, "I AM" and He really meant it. I also mean it when I say that I am a Missionary Ant. Let me help you understand a little better. I'm not a Carpenter Ant like my cousin, or a Sugar Ant like my distant relatives. I AM a Missionary Ant. My job is to work with M300 Ministries doing Good Works and sharing the Good News in really hard places. You know how ants are right? We like to keep things simple so we say: GOOD WORKS - GOOD NEWS - HARD PLACES. In fact by clicking here you can get M300 News to stay informed about my work.
The "M" in "M300 Ministries" stands for "Mighty" because God sees a mighty ministry taking place even when others perhaps don't yet see it. Many think that you have to be BIG to be mighty bit it's just not true. God our Creator sees small as BIG. God says, "My thoughts are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways". As for me and my mound, let's just say we like that line of thinking where small is Big.
Have you read in the Bible about David and Goliath? David was small like me, but God used him to take out the Giant Goliath. What about Gideon and the 300 who God used to defeat a vast army? Gideon was hiding from the enemy and an Angel of the Lord appeared and called him a Mighty Warrior. Gideon look around and said, "Who me?" What about Jesus who was born as a small baby yet was the BIG Savior that everyone was waiting for, Jesus the Messiah.
Jesus once said this, "Father I praise your name because you have kept these things from the wise and revealed them to the ordinary people". He says unless we become like a child (small, humble, believing, trusting, obeying, innocent) then we can't enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Have you ever noticed how ants love to work together?
Don't ever worry about me because I like being small. When I am small He is BIG. When I am weak He is strong". Have you ever saw an ant fall from a tree 20,000 times higher than his height and just get up and brush it off? Small is our BIG. Small is our great strength. God talks about ants in the Bible and truthfully most of you secretly admire us right? O.k. you may not like Red Ants but most of us don't like them either. We hope that you will love "Missionary Ants".
We were around when Adam and Eve got kicked out of the garden. Our ancestors were on Noah's Ark. What you may not know is that one of my cousin's was in the wood on the cross when Jesus was crucified. Another cousin was right there at the grave when Jesus arose from the dead. You may not believe this but my dad says that even in the rock sealed tomb one of my cousin's was there. Oh and that day when Jesus broke the bread and handed out multiple fish to the thousands...we were there helping to clean up. When John was on banished to that island, when Paul was shipwrecked and in prison...we were there. I'm not bragging....just sayin....
Proverbs 30:24-28 (The Message)
Four Small Wonders
24-28 There are four small creatures,
wisest of the wise they are??"
ants??"frail as they are,
get plenty of food in for the winter;
marmots??"vulnerable as they are,
manage to arrange for rock-solid homes;
locusts??"leaderless insects,
yet they strip the field like an army regiment;
lizards??"easy enough to catch,
but they sneak past vigilant palace guards.
Have you ever heard of The Marines? "The Few, The Proud, The Marines", they are an elite force. Missionary Ants are like that. We are an elite missionary force working through M300 Ministries in the world's hardest places. Some of us live in jungles, others on mountain tops and yet still others slip past the guards into the palaces of Kings. It's just how we operate. See when you minister in the hard places you have to first be on the ground working. Then you have to be everywhere and appear as though you are no where. When your enemy thinks you are far off, you are actually very near. When he thinks that you very near, you are actually far away. Missionary ants take and hold the ground. If we need to we will go under the ground.
Let him who has ears hear and him who has eyes see the wisdom of the Lord when small is BIG. Have you ever considered the ant?
Proverbs 6:6-8 (The Message)
A Lesson from the Ant
6-11 You lazy fool, look at an ant.
Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two.
Nobody has to tell it what to do.
All summer it stores up food;
at harvest it stockpiles provisions.
So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?
How long before you get out of bed?
A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there,
sit back, take it easy??"do you know what comes next?
Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life,
poverty your permanent houseguest!
Well that's a little about me and what I do at M300 Ministries. I'm sure you will be seeing me around..
