Mission & History
CRF Mission
The Christian Relief Fund is dedicated to following Christ's example of ministering to human needs: spiritually, physicall and emotionally, by feeding the hungry, healing disease and heartbreak, fighting ignorance and poverty through education and preaching the Gospel through word and deed.

CRF History
Baxter Loe founded the Christian Relief fund in May of 1971 in order to care for John Abraham's orphaned children. John Abraham was a Christian minister in India and died from starvation during a famine year. The Christian Relief Fund has since grown to provide child sponsorship, family sponsorship, and operate children's homes and schools in third-world countries. CRF sponsorship programs and homes provide food, clothes, medical care, schooling, and Bible teaching in 33 countries. Currently nearly 5,200 children are being sponsored in our programs.
LINK: There is a link between M300 Director Wayne Gaines and CRF Executive Director Linda Purdy because during the early 1980's Baxter Loe and Linda Purdy traveled to Honduras where Wayne Gaines was working as a self supported missionary. During those visits the John Abraham Foundation facilitated the establishment of an orphanage in Catacamas, Honduras where Wayne Gaines assisted in the staffing and original set up of the orphanage. The John Abraham Foundation grew to become The Christian Relief Fund and Linda Purdy became the Executive Director. Both Wayne Gaines and Linda Purdy have been heavily involved in missions and ministry for many years.
