You may be asking yourself, "Just what is the M300 Ministry Group and what does it do?" I invite you to go right now to your Bible and prayerfully read chapters 6,7 and 8 of the book of Judges prior to continuing further. As some of you warriors may not have your Bible handy you can click here and read the book of Judges 6,7, and 8 on your computer before continuing to read the rest of this introduction to M300 Ministries.
A prayerful and careful examination of God's inspired scripture helps us to understand that we are not so different from the nation of Israel at our present time in history. God saw fit to rescue Israel, not by the might of men that they should boast, but by His own power and for His own glory. In the process God saw and recognized a hidden potential in a young man named Gideon. Let's read in Judges 6:11 The angel of the LORD came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites. 12 When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior."
Gideon was considered by God to be a mighty warrior. Wow that ought to excite anyone, but it did not excite Gideon because he responded this way, Judges 6:13 "But sir," Gideon replied, "if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our fathers told us about when they said, 'Did not the LORD bring us up out of Egypt?' But now the LORD
has abandoned us and put us into the hand of Midian." 14 The LORD turned to him and said, "Go in the strengthyou have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you? " 15 "But Lord , [a] " Gideon asked, "how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh,
and I am the least in my family." Gideon may have thought that it was totally up to him to save Israel and so he questioned the Lord and put forth his weaknesses. God's response was clear, "Go in the strength you have...Am I not sending you?"
The state of the God's people, our nations, and the world is in similar straits today. Many have lost faith in God and His leading. Many question in this way saying, "If God is with us then why has all of this happened to us?" Or they may say, "The Lord has abandoned us..." Still others will turn to false Gods and idols.
God Himself is working a mighty plan in our days that is not to be construed as political in nature. God is working a plan to redeem His chosen people from the hands of
all enemies. I invite you to go back and read Judges 6:1-10 and understand that even though God had
rescued Israel by snatching them out of the hands of Egypt the nation of Israel did evil in the eyes of the Lord. How much evil have all of us done before the Lord? Is it not true that in our times there are nations and peoples who were previously known to be God fearing, who now do not fear or listen to God? In Gideon's time God sent Israel a prophet after they cried out for deliverance and the prophet told them in the latter part of Judges 6:10 "But you have not listened to me."
Wake up people of faith the prophet who spoke to Israel has a valid message for us today, "But you have not listened to me" God told Gideon, " Go in the strength you have...am I not sending you? (Judges 6:14) God went on to make it understood that Gideon was called out to perform a God led role in saving Israel, however it was God himself who would provide the victory and claim the glory.
Gideon assembled the armies of Israel and they numbered 32,000 brave fighting men. Judges 7:2-3
2 The LORD said to Gideon, "You have too many men for me to deliver Midian into their hands. In order that Israel may not boast against me that her own strength has saved her, 3 announce now to the people, 'Anyonewho trembles with fear may turn back and leave Mount Gilead.' " So twenty-two thousand men left, while ten thousand remained.
God continued to draw down the numbers as you can read in Judges 7:4-7 4 But the LORD said to Gideon, "There are still too many men. Take them down to the water, and I will sift them for you there. If I say, 'This one shall go with you,' he shall go; but if I say, 'This one shall not go with you,' he shall not go." 5 So Gideon took the men down to the water. There the LORD told him, "Separate those who lap the water
with their tongues like a dog from those who kneel down to drink." 6 Three hundred men lapped with
their hands to their mouths. All the rest got down on their knees to drink. 7 The LORD said to Gideon,
"With the three hundred men that lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands. Let all
the other men go, each to his own place."
So it is that God included the use of Gideon and three hundred mighty warriors in the process of
saving His chosen nation Israel. God has inspired a new mission in our day and times and it is called
