AN UPDATE FROM NORTH INDIA: "HARYANA MISSIONS"

Hi,

Thank you for the prayers and partnership for the North Indian ministry. Let me give you some updates from the mission field in Haryana, North India.

1, Blessing Yamuna Nagar.

Yamuna Nagar is the one of the least evangelized districts in Haryana state which has a population of 1.2 million people. People in different villages are still to hear the name of Jesus even once in their lives. Blessing Yamuna Nagar is led by Pastor Chand and Kiran Paul. The team visited most of the major towns in the district like Radour, Yamuna Nagar city, Jagadhri, Mustafabad, Bilaspur,  Chhachhrauli and Sadhoura. During which they have had prayer drives and then have organized meetings in association with the local churches in 3 places and  distributed Bibles and gospel portions. There was a great response from the people and no persecution has been reported. Please continue to pray for Yamuna Nagar and the mission there.

2, Meet our Leaders: Pastor Yona.

Yona was born in a traditional Hindu family where he was eager to know God. He has visited many temples and other religious places to find peace in his life. But he never found spiritual satisfaction in his life. Later one of his friends gave a copy of a New Testament to him and Yona started to read the scriptures. He was eager to know more about Jesus  and that search led him to a missionary who lived very far from his village. Soon he accepted the Lord and received water baptism. Persecution started in his village mainly from his family and relatives. But the Lord opened a way for him to study medicine  for a short time at medical training. After the training he came back to his village and started a clinic, where he served the poor and the needy. But also during that same time, whoever comes to him, he includes sharing about the Christ. Many people were touched and a lot of them were healed from sickness because of his prayers.

          Up to this present day Pastor Yona has led more than 200 people to the Lord and is conducting regular prayers in 9 places in Haryana. He works among the poor, least caste and in the undeveloped areas and during that time he always finds a way to share the gospel as soon as he can . His wife along with 4 children lives in Shiv colony. The church he oversights  is planning to start 10 unreached village churches within these next 2 years. 3, Mission School Project:  New children added.

Akash, Asha, Tina & Shallu (one boy and 3 girls) are the children of Sonu and Pinki who are from the lower caste (dalit) family. They were living in the slum where Sonu was working as a cycle rickshaw puller and Pinki was not working but taking care of the children. The family was suffering in many areas like sickness and financial problems etc..  For the last 9 months Sonu is missing and no one knows where he is.  Pinki did not know what to do thereafter as she did not have any job. With the help of her relatives and neighbors she managed to live somehow in the same slum. Some of our believers met her and asked her to send the children to our mission school. So she brought all the 4 children to us and asked us to help her especially in educating these 4 children. Now we have adopted all these 4 children of Pinki and admitted them into the school project. We are taking care of these little ones now and they are so happy , because it was their dream to go school one day. Will you pray for Pinki and these children and their future? 4, 6 new mission fields

The Lord has enabled us to open 6 more mission fields in 3 more districts in Haryana from 1^st May. This is the first time the gospel message is being taken to these regions by these missionary couples. They will be targeting to plant 10 village churches each within 5 years of time. There will be many challenges ahead for them as it is extremely new fields. Your sincere prayers are needed for these families. 

5, Partnership.

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support for the ministry in North India. Haryana is one of the most unreached state in North India. Christian population in the state is only 0.09%.  There are thousands still to hear the name of Jesus in the villages. We are taking all the initiative to take the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to every nook and corners in North India. As we have involved in various projects like Church planting, Discipleship programs,  The Mission school, Outreach & film shows, Prayer networks,  and many other social activates like free plants distribution & medical camps etc… in North India, we need your further assistance and prayers for the ministry.
