 M300 Ministries...Missionaries Wayne & Rosemary Gaines

Director's Perspective: "I would hope that the message to others is that normal Christians can and should walk in these ways without necessity of titles like Reverend or Pastor. We are all called to be priest (Hebrews) but we don't always walk in that profound calling. I just want to relate that there is nothing special about me other than I have heard God's calling specifically on my life and I am struggling to walk in it, with the help of my wife, children and some friends. Recently while praying about support needs the Lord impressed upon me this unique ministry perspective: NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO PROBLEM...FOLLOW ME AND I WILL MAKE YOU A FISHER OF MEN!"

Wayne's lifelong participation in missions started after becoming a Christian at the age of 16. Now in his early 40's he continues to serve in a variety of missions ministries. He served as a self supported missionary to both Costa Rica and Honduras as well as having served as a missions deacon at two congregations. Recently he was selected to serve on the Missions Development Team at his home church as well as serving in the praise ministry and prayer ministry. Much of Wayne's missionary service has been 100% faith based in missions with a "tent maker" mentality. This mentality translates over to what is being done at M300 Ministries. M300 Ministries is 100% faith based and a 501c3 so we do accept and are grateful for donations as God moves the heart of His people, however we are also servants who know well the value of using our "talents" in such a way as to generate more resources for the Master and for global ministry.

Wayne is the Founder/Director at M300 Ministries and the Co-Founder at Pakistan Christian News. For over 20 years he has voluntarily served as Charter Board Member at The Honduras Bible School as well as Vice-President of Mission del Caribe 501c3 Not for Profit Ministry. Wayne and his wife worked to help establish Mission Predisan and the beginnings of what has today become Honduras Outreach. He has helped to lead and direct major relief and development efforts post Hurricane Mitch in Honduras, dual earthquakes in El Salvador and Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana.

Current notes:  God wants for us to continue to be active in missions and moving ahead with M300 Ministries.  We were directly affected by Hurricane Katrina leading to a family seperation of 7 months. While I repaired our home, worked at my secular job and led relief efforts for MdC Disaster Assistance Response Teams in Louisiana, my family remained in Alabama where we had evacuated to. After about 7 months I sold our home in Louisiana and moved to Alabama with my family. I worked for a year and a half in a private company. I took up an offer to move to Florida to work for a Christian Not for Profit entity. Upon arriving in Florida I met my wife and kids at the airport in Fort Lauderdale, fully expecting to locate a home and settle in to work.  I was astonished that my invitation to come to work was suddenly put on indefinite hold. Talk about God opening or closing doors, this door was sumarily slammed shut, but not before God spoke.

In meeting with Human Resources I was tremendously blessed by a word of encouragement. The Human Resources Director told me that God wanted for her to put aside everything and to communicate a message to me. This was a little different for me, but she went on to say that God wanted to make sure that I understood that no matter what happened regarding this job opportunity, as a son, I was to do nothing out of fear. That God saw me as a mighty warrior and that God was not only my Father, but also my daddy and He knew what my needs were and would make provision. I was to not do anything out of fear.  Wow! What an awesome way to hear from God. What a message, but what a challenge, to be suddenly homeless, suddenly without a job, suddenly with no place to live and little to no resources and no place to go. In the face of this to be told by someone that God told them to tell me, "You are a mighty warrior, Do nothing out of fear!" How do you look at your wife and kids and not blink we you explain what just happened? A mighty warrior just does it, and so it was.

We left Florida now homeless, with the school year ready to start and no where to register the kids, but we felt God's leading. We left Florida and returned to Alabama for one day to pick up a vehicle and then we moved to our present location.

We are assured that God himself led us here for some very special reasons. While experiencing God's strong calling I sought to understand just what it was that God desired of me.

Recently God has helped me to understand that I am to serve as a "cornerstone" for a new ministry that He is raising up. Over the past months a number of people have randomly told me things like, "When I see you I see a Mighty Warrior of God!"  I have not felt like a Mighty Warrior over the past few months, but I have felt alot like Gideon hiding in the winepress threshing wheat so that no one will take it away from me. But after these "God For Dummies" episodes and much listening prayer, I finally understood that God wanted for me to comprehend the calling on Gideon in the book of Judges. I said to God, "I know you are calling me but I don't understand, help me to understand." Through this prayerful process and with God's leading, I have come to understand how God wants for me to move forward in the strength that I have to establish M300 Ministries, because it is Him who is sending me.

I now have a firm vision of what God is seeking to achieve, although I can't claim to have a high definition view of each minute detail at this time. God has revealed in the book of Judges the same message spoken to Gideon which was, "Go in the strength that you have...Am I not sending you?".  Just like Gideon, I put forth my weaknesses and lame excuses, but you just can't compete against the living God. I tried things like, Lord I have a son in college. Lord I have a a second son going to college next year. Lord I don't own a home. Lord look at our economy, will people give? The answer from the Lord is, "This is so no man can boast that he did it all himself." Lord, I am the least expected to minister in this way, I don't have a degree in theology or a degree at all.  Then the Lord revealed these thoughts to me: Imagine what sort of shape my ministry would be in if I ever relegated the really important things to simple people like shepherds, fishermen or tax collectors? Wow, isn't that exactly what He did? Could God really by pass some of the most studied and most recognized religious leaders of our day and really expect an awesome ministry to develop through someone with a bunch of lame excuses? Did He do that sort of thing when Jesus walked the earth? I'll let you make up your own mind, but the story of my calling entitled "Called Out To A Foreign Field", or Bible stories like Gideon or David and Goliath, or Joseph and Egypt, or Peter the fisherman should help you to see that God does things a bit differently than most of us expect. Alas, His ways are not our ways.

I would like to encourage much prayer on behalf of myself and my family. We have experienced God's provision and care in the past and we stand firm now in His promises to meet our every need and to provide for His M300 Ministries.
God himself equipped me over my lifetime for missions ministry and has placed His renewed calling upon me. Our family appreciates your prayers.

Places that I have been...

The world in the shadow of His Cross
The gadget on the right is pretty neat as it keeps track of places that I have been on mission, places that I have lived and also places that I would like to go. The Lord has certainly taken me around the world and I look forward to what the future holds.

*Note: There are apparently some advertising slogans at the bottom of the box...they don't reflect my thoughts, just in case you wondered.

As the cross cast it's shadow upon the world Jesus sends us out to shine light into the darkest places that men might have eyes that see and ears that hear allowing them to turn from their wicked ways and come into His light.
