"THE GRACE OF GOD SUPPLIES OUR EVERY NEED IN CHRIST JESUS!

Micah 7:8 (New Century Version)

8 Enemy, don't laugh at me.
I have fallen, but I will get up again.
I sit in the shadow of trouble now,
but the Lord will be a light for me.

Director's Perspective: "We have to have faith in order to be pleasing to God, yet a man's faith can fail him. God's grace can never fail us if we are willing to surrender to it." That brings up a world of questions like, "How do you surrender to grace.". This is my testimony I never understood grace until "my faith" failed me. I learned from the Holy Spirit and God's Word that the disciple Peter had this same issue of "faith failure". The Lord told Peter, "Satan had desired to sift you as wheat but I have prayed for you that your faith would not fail you." So we learn that "faith is our necessary part" in order to be pleasing to God. Yet if we "walk depending on our own faith" then it can fail us. Remember Peter who later would step out of the boat into the raging sea and wild waves tossed about by the winds. Peter would walk on water headed to Jesus. There are many facet to this powerful event. I was always amazed that none of Peter's friends dove in the water to try to help him, but then again no one dove in to help me. Sometimes I feel like I have "walked on water", in a symbolic sense, as I headed out towards Jesus in the roughest economic and troubled times any of us have ever seen. Two years later I found out that "walking in my own faith wasn't enough". I needed His supply of grace.

We were called to pour our lives out. To be spent for Him. To lay it all on the line. We poured out all of our savings into walking in this profound calling. We poured it out to orphans, widows, native pastors and our own support needs while nearly no one stepped out on the troubled water to help. This is what I refer to as "walking on water". We went from homeowners to renters and then one fine day in November 2010 the fall ended and the impact of is resonated. It sounds terrible and I will assure you that it was painful. I think if I had a heart scan the scars would be there. I could literally see myself drowning and being overtaken by the troubled waters. I was given the advice of a friend, to not speak about it, but to commit it to the Lord. I kept my mouth shut for the most part for weeks and months. We learned all about fasting prayers and our ministry committed globally to fasting prayers every first three days of each month. I fasted 21 days, then the first three days of each month. Then I fasted 40 days and then another 40 days, later in the year. I understood true fasting according to Isaiah 58...yet no answer came. "The Law" always demands of us, but "The New Covenant of Grace" always supplies to us. It's demand and supply. The old law makes demands but grace under Christ Jesus always gives to us. I understood that His favor and blessings are already in our favor and for us in Christ. God is for us. God is not angry with us. God's anger was poured out on Jesus. Those of us in Jesus are cloaked in His righteousness. When God see us, He sees Jesus. Later in life if or when "your faith fails you", remember that you can surrender to His abundant grace that He has towards you in Christ Jesus.

Hey it took me 30 years in Jesus, to fully surrender, hopefully you are smarter than that and have a greater understanding than I had. I earned my stripes, every one of them, but I will make it home by His grace that is upon me and ever abounding towards me His adopted son.

This ministry will prosper by His grace and favor. People will be healed by His grace and abundant supply of mercy. I'm excited. I'm wound up to know that it really isn't about how much faith and resources I can muster up in my walk, but it is all about my Lord and His unfailing grace that is forever in my favor. God is eternally UP and the devil is eternally down and nothing can ever change that. It lifts burdens to know that when a bill comes in, it's the Lord's bill. When a pastor in a hard place needs funds. It's the Lord's pastor who needs funds. We are diligent so don't get me wrong. We are 24/7/365 in this calling but behold...we are not alone as His grace is upon us and His anointing overflows. Praise the Lord.

Then it happened. I felt my head going under the water, as in drowning. I felt the icy water enveloping me but I also felt that God would not abandon me. "Either all of God's promises are true or none of them are true", is what I would tell my wife. She didn't like it when I talked like that. I can't blame her, but it was where I was at in the IMPACT ZONE. I was being impacted and deformed in a way. I had seen God heal others. I had seen God pour out His favor on others.

This is what the Lord taught me about Peter. The Lord said, "What you take for impulsiveness, in Peter, I always took for willingness."  I said, "Lord I am willing." Later I would learn that it takes more than willingness. "I learned that I had been walking in my own faith and not truly depending upon His grace". It seems such a slight nuance but it is vast. See the key of faith will open the door of grace. Our faith is not meant or designed to be the size of a mountain, but the size of a mustard seed. When we try to walk out our calling like we use to say, "100% faith based", then we will fail because our faith alone is not enough.

As I went under the waters this is what He said, "You have faith, great. You have commitment, great. There is one thing that you lack...Surrender to my grace!". We have to surrender to His goodness, grace and provision or we have no part in Him. That's what he told Peter. So here we are today 100% GRACE BASED. It is absolutely true that without His grace we can do nothing, except for what little can be accomplished in our own faith. Here me on this matter and perhaps you won't have to bear the heart wounds that I have. Faith is necessary to be pleasing to God but it is "simple faith" and not what we have made it out to be. Size matters when you contrast faith and grace. Faith is like the key that opens the door and starts the train of grace. You can't ride the key alone because it wasn't made for that purpose, but you can ride the train of God's grace. Use your faith with God's authority to open the door and get into Christ, but once in Him depend on His grace to get you home. The Lord will never stop doing good to me in Christ Jesus. When God sees me, He sees Christ in me. He will never stop doing good to me, never, never, never stop doing good to me because His grace and mercy are new every morning. Praise the Lord.

We are awaiting the Lord's timing for a great restoration and a greater elevation in His appointed purposes for our lives. The Lord restores and the Lord raises up. A recent sermon from Pastor Jentezen Franklin spoke of the "Bounceology" of Christians. Meaning that Christians are designed to bounce. The stages are F.I.R.E. meaning Fall - Impact - Restoration - Elevation. Praise the Lord because the harder the devil slams us who are in Christ the higher we will bounce. Yet we have to survive the impact and the deformation in order to be restored and get our bounce back. I told my wife after that sermon, "As hard as we have been slammed we will need oxygen mask to breath when the elevation comes". Praise the Lord and praise Him for His perfect timing.

I  would hope that the message to others is that everyday Christians can and should walk in these ways. We are all called to be priest (Hebrews) but we don't always walk in that profound calling under the New Covenant of grace. I just want to relate that there is nothing special about me, other than I have heard God's calling specifically on my life and I am struggling to walk in it, first by faith and then by His grace, with the help of my wife, children and some friends. Recently while praying about support needs the Lord impressed upon me this unique ministry perspective: NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO PROBLEM...FOLLOW ME AND I WILL MAKE YOU A FISHER OF MEN!"

My lifelong participation in missions started after becoming a Christian at the age of 16.  I continue to serve in a variety of missions ministries. I served as a "self supported missionary" to both Costa Rica and Honduras as well as having served as a missions deacon at three congregations. I have served on Missions Development Teams as well as serving in the praise ministry and prayer ministry. Much of my missionary service has been 100% faith based in missions with a "tent maker" mentality. This latter calling has been the most profound and "required more than 100% faith based"..."it required surrendering utterly to His profound grace". This "100% grace based" mindset translates over to what is being done at M300 Ministries. M300 Ministries is 100% GRACE based and a 501c3 so we do accept and are grateful for willing donations as God moves the heart of His people.

  1. If you want to be inspired as you see how God moves in the life of His servants then pour yourself a cup of coffee and then go to Called Out To A Foreign Field    It is our prayer that "Called Out To A Foreign Field" will inspire you and also help you to more fully understand God's calling and how God may work also in your life.

Current notes:  God wants for us to continue to be active in missions, by His grace and enabling and moving ahead with M300 Ministries. Recently God has helped me to understand that I am to serve as a "cornerstone". Over the past months a number of people have randomly told me things like, "When I see you I see a Mighty Warrior of God!"  I have not felt like a Mighty Warrior over the past few months, but I have felt like Gideon hiding in the wine press threshing wheat so that no one will take it away from me. But after much listening prayer and discernment, I understood that God wanted for me to comprehend the calling on Gideon in the book of Judges. I said to God, "I know you are calling me but I don't understand, help me to understand." Through this prayerful process and with God's leading, I have come to understand how God's grace is moving me forward to establish M300 Ministries, because it is Him who is enabling me.

I now have a firm vision of what God is seeking to achieve, although I can't claim to have a high definition view of each minute detail at this time. God has revealed in the book of Judges the same message spoken to Gideon which was, "Go in the strength that you have...Am I not sending you?".  Just like Gideon, I put forth my weaknesses and lame excuses, but you just can't compete against the living God. I tried things like, Lord I have a son in college. Lord I have a a second son going to college next year. Lord I don't own a home. Lord look at our economy, will people give? The answer from the Lord is, "This is so no man can boast that he did it all himself." Lord, I am the least expected to minister in this way, I don't have a degree in theology or a degree at all.  Then the Lord revealed these thoughts to me: Imagine what sort of shape my ministry would be in if I ever relegated the really important things to simple people like shepherds, fishermen or tax collectors? Wow, isn't that exactly what He did? Could God really by pass some of the most studied and most recognized religious leaders of our day and really expect an awesome ministry to develop through someone with a bunch of lame excuses? Did He do that sort of thing when Jesus walked the earth? I'll let you make up your own mind, but the story of my calling entitled "Called Out To A Foreign Field", or Bible stories like Gideon or David and Goliath, or Joseph and Egypt, or Peter the fisherman should help you to see that God does things a bit differently than most of us expect. Alas, His ways are not our ways. Praise the Lord. Lift up a Mighty shout of Praise for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus the living Christ.

God himself equipped me over my lifetime for missions ministry and has placed His renewed calling upon me. Our family appreciates your prayers.

Places that I have been...

Lifting up Jesus so that men might be drawn unto Him!
The gadget on the right is pretty neat as it keeps track of places that I have been on mission, places that I have lived and also places that I would like to go. The Lord has certainly taken me around the world and I look forward to what the future holds.

*Note: There are apparently some advertising slogans at the bottom of the box...they don't reflect my thoughts, just in case you wondered.
As the cross cast it's shadow upon the world Jesus sends us out to shine light into the darkest places that men might have eyes that see and ears that hear allowing them to turn from their wicked ways and come into His light.
