Greetings, My name is Richard (Dick) Snook, President and CEO of Missionary Flights International. My wife Linda works in the office taking care of the accounting for the organization. We joined MFI in 1986 after leaving our home in Iowa and moving to South Florida. I succeeded Rev. Don H. Beldin as president in 1993. We have four grown children and five grandchildren. I served in the USAF and was trained in aircraft maintenance. During the Viet Nam war, I served as a mechanic on the EC-47 aircraft. The EC-47 is the military version of the DC-3. After Viet Nam, I earned all of my pilot ratings. Little did I realize that 20 years later, I would be a captain on the same type of aircraft I maintained in Viet Nam. The Lord always has a plan for our lives.
Link: There is a link between M300 Director Wayne Gaines and MFI because one of MFI's routes covers Cap Haitien, Haiti where Ron and Dianna Cyphers works with the Cap Haitien Children's Home. Wayne served as a missions deacon at a local church which supported Ron and Dianna and the children's home. Wayne also participated heavily in support of the orphanage and missionaries during a violent uprising some years back. Wayne and his family have also been supporters of Ron and Dianna as well as sponsors for a child at the orphanage for a number of years. The Cyphers as well as many thousands of other missionaries and short term missions teams count on MFI and their ministries.
