The new church building was dedicated last night with an overflowing crowd. A good number of local and regional pastors attended the dedication ceremonies. Sermons were shared and some Americans shared thoughts which were translated to Portuguese.

The building was overflowing with people and kids were hanging from the windows outside. As the crowds grew the listeners surged into the street and neighboring properties. The heat was on as the daytime temperature yesterday was 102 F with 80% humidity making it feel like 105 F. Dry season in Northern Brazil is hot and humid for sure and more so while laying brick and installing roofing.

This mission trip was marked covered in prayer for which we are all grateful. The trip was organized with the help of Christian Missions Unlimited and the experience of team leaders from the U.S. and from Brazil was very evident. Clockwork and precision were the norm and if you have done missions before in Latin America then you know that this does not come naturally.
