We all go through a spiritual growth process. Some of us were called by the Lord in different "religious settings" or denominations. Some of us were called by the Lord in "non denominational settings". The sure thing is that if we set our heart, mind and soul upon seeking God and His will for our lives it will involve change. Sometimes that change can hurt when it means stepping out in full obedience when others don't comprehend God's call upon your life. I am fully convinced that a person cannot seek out God's will for their life through prayer, fasting, the study of God's word and the leading of the Holy Spirit and come away unchanged. In fact if we look intently into God's Word and we come away unchanged and unmotivated to be more like Jesus then we fool even ourselves.
Some people answer "A Calling" upon their lives in different ways. I have seen men pour out their lives for sports because it was "their calling in life". I have seen others pour out their lives for "Nascar", "Hunting", "Fishing", or any other venue. What is rare to find in today's world is a man who has poured out his life answering "God's Calling". I have found this to be true of
Jentezen Franklin who I contently call my pastor. Mind you that for the first 28 years of my life in Christ I had no person to whom I was led to call "my pastor" as we called them "ministers" or "preachers". For the first 28 years of my walk in Christ there were only "pastors" as in "elders" in the church. God saw fit to expand me and the territory where he has placed me as widely as he expanded the territory of Jabez. The first person to whom my family and I ever felt a leading to call "our pastor" was Pastor Alan Morris where the Lord had our family for a great season in life. Alan was a wonderful pastor to our family for a season. Alan was the Senior Pastor for a 1,200 member church in N.E. Georgia. Alan used to be a missionary to Indonesia and his heart is for missions and ministry so we connected instantly. Alan is a "pastor" in the truest of senses and the Lord will surely reward his faithful service. In fact my wife keeps reminding me that this year is our 25th anniversary and that we need to renew our vows. She and I both agreed that we would love for Pastor Alan Morris to officiate for us because he is a faithful, wonderful pastor and friend.
In this season of life God has provided to us a new and exceedingly anointed pastor in Pastor Jentezen Franklin at Free Chapel. Free Chapel is an amazing anointed gathering that is non denominational and has over 14,000 members in one location in Gainesville, Georgia and a second growing campus of some 4,000 members in Orange County, California.
I know that Jentezen has fully poured his life out to the Lord because I fully see in him the battle scars and the same grace that was poured out on me. Yes I too have poured out my life to the Lord as a drink offering as well. God spoke to my heart some months back and said, "Go to the House of Joseph" which effectively turned out to be
Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia. It's an anointed place with anointed leadership. This is exactly what God was saying when he said, "Depart from this arid place and go to the House of Joseph". Joseph went through it all including being thrown in a well meant for his death, being fished out and sold to the Ishmaelites, thrown into prison in Egypt and then raised up over the entire kingdom of Egypt being only second to Pharoh. Joseph had a powerful time of suffering but Joseph also had a powerful anointing from God and an appointed reign of authority and leadership. Through Joseph Israel was cared for and did not perish in the great famine. We see the times that we are living in as times of great spiritual famine where many are perishing and failing. We thank God for having directed us to the House of Joseph at this season in our lives. We are blessed to be in an anointed gathering of God's people who are truly givers to God's work around the world. We are blessed today to say that Pastor Jentezen Franklin is the pastor of our family. We know and are fully assured that the Lord has greater purposes in sending us to
"The House of Joseph" and in placing Pastor Jentezen Franklin in our lives as the pastor over our family.
I would like to share with you Pastor Jentezen Franklin's most recent Newsletter as he shares life changing teachings that will bless your walk in the Lord.
