THE POWER OF A CLICK
I would dare to say that there has never been a time in the history of mankind when so much power is wielded at the click of a button. Sure there is enormous power and destruction sitting at the fingertips of the people who man nuclear missile silos in an increasing number of countries. The power that is there is largely a deterrent and has been a successful deterrent for many decades. Oh don't get me wrong I mean there is real power there if it is ever unleashed, enough power to destroy this planet and most if not all of it's inhabitants. Is this the button that I speak of when I say that there has never been a time in the history of mankind when so much power is wielded at the click of a button? No it is not nuclear capabilities that I speak of, but rather the power to choose to do either good or evil at the click of a button.
As a global missions ministry who specializes in globally sharing "Who is the Christ?' while serving the needy we use technology as a force multiplier in missions and we have come to understand the power of a click. Any influence that we may have is given by God. We understand that God's economy is not based on money, but rather on people and Godly influence towards and through people. How would we explain this more clearly? Let's look at how the Bible helps us to understand this:
1 Chronicles 4:9-10
9 Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." 10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.
This generational group of people now existing as the small province of Yehud (Judah) in the Persian Empire, are still God's people Israel and retain their central place in God's purposes for humanity. The identity and legitimacy of this people are traced in a line beginning with Adam (1:1) and extending through the tribes of Israel (chs. 2-8) down to the community of Judean exiles restored from captivity in Babylon (9:2-34). This community is depicted not as the sum total of the people but as the representative nucleus or focus to which ???all Israel??? may join in God's work of restoration.
The name Jabez had it's root meaning in birthing pains and Jabez later in life cries out the God of Israel to not only bless him and enlarge his territory but for God's hand to be upon him, keeping him from harm so that he would be free from pain. And the Word says that God granted his request.
As we walk in this unique calling as a family uniquely called out to found and establish M300 Ministries we have asked the Lord to bless us by enlarging our territory. We have asked God's hand to be with us and to keep us from harm. God's economy can not and should not revolve around money, the need for it or the lack there of. God wants us to see that He is the provider of all things and that all good gift come from Him. At the click of a few buttons God has led Valiant Warriors to us from many persecuted countries. This is our economy...an economy of Godly influence. These men come to us telling us that they have been fasting and praying to God for intervention and for help and leadership in their ministries. Most of these Valiant Warriors will tell you the same story that while they were gathered together fasting and praying to God one of them heard from God or God put this on his heart saying, "The most expedient thing for you to do is to go to the nearest internet cafe and go online. The first ministry that I show you will be the one that I am sending to help you.' Inadvertently they contact us in this way and we prayerfully begin to work together in places like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, India and Africa. Do we have resources to help them? We have God power plus a very little bit that faithful Christians respond with in order to help. Often times the needs are not so much economic as a need for powerful friendships, relationships, guidance, teaching and leading in the Lord. Sure economic partnering in ministry can be very helpful and it happens as the Lord leads but even more powerful is the impact that is made by God's expansion of our territory for His sake and for His glory.
We are a 100% faith based ministry with no backing. We work mostly out of our private savings with two supporters who help one at $400 per month and one with $25 per month. We have a few donations in between that are used for specific projects and for partnering. When the power of a ministry is economic then it's demise is quickly approaching but when the power of a ministry is Godly influence then God can grow that economy. We are assured that as Godly influence increases so will Godly enabling. Don't believe for a second that it is an easy task to walk in a calling that nearly no one actually support but many pay lip service to. It is not an easy thing but it is sustainable by God's grace and mercy. If God does not want for us to eat so that you can benefit, then we will not eat. If God wants to grow this His ministry by faith and faithfulness then we are there ready to grow.
Jabez had his territory expanded by God and so will we. Imagine a small ministry like M300 Ministries with only recently a sum total of $425.00 per month in total support, accomplishing so much for God's glory. Visit our website at www.m300ministries.org to see what God has done.
Sound familiar to you? David was small in stature compared to Goliath but he rushed out there in the battle front like a Valiant Warrior and he said, "Who dares to defy the Living God?" He relied on God to defeat Goliath and in a swift moment with crude tools he took down Goliath and cut his head off lifting it up for all of the hoards to see. This is the spirit at M300 Ministries, a spirit of reliance upon God to work His good work in us and through us.
When Joseph was in Egypt and had two sons he named one of them Ephraim which when properly translated means, "Make me twice as fruitful in the land of my suffering." This is our plea to God, because it hurts where we are at and there are times that we suffer not only reproach, but also contempt. We say to God..."Make us twice as fruitful in the land of our suffering!" If there are others out there who excel in monetary terms then we know that they shall be accountable to you for your resources. If there are those out there who have your resources and they consume them on their own selves then they shall be accountable. We ask dear Lord make us accountable for what you place into our hands, our minds and our hearts so that in all things your name might be glorified among the nations.
This is the power of Godly influence that the Lord has given to us. Many ministries would say to a native pastor..."Go here or go there and we will pay you this much" In God we say things like this, "Amil (meaning in Urdu- "a friend closer than a brother") will you go to Iran and declare Jesus Christ to the people?" and the response is something along the lines of, "When does the first bus leave? I will go" This is Godly influence because you cannot pay a man sufficiently for him to consistently risk his life to share the Gospel. Money is a poor motivator and a cruel task master, but in God's economy of Godly influence a man can be influenced by God's leading to become a powerful witness unto the ends of the Earth.
The power in a click is like this. With the click of a button we can now donate virtually to any cause. With the power of a click we can choose to do good or to do evil. With the power of the click of a button we can bring shame or we can work to bring God glory. With the power of a click we can support an orphan or pay for a peep show. With the power of a click we can uplift someone or we can drag them through the mud. With the power of a click we can bring Glory to God or we can commit sin.
With the click of a button at M300 Ministries we can and have aided Haiti in ways that only God can be credited for. With the click of a button we have sent missionaries from Bangladesh to India. With the click of a button we have set in motion a plan to reach 10 Hindu villages in India in Feb. 2010 where the Gospel has not been preached. With the click of a button we have supported Festivals of Light in Pakistan, Bangladesh and this month in India. With the click of a button we have helped a pastor in Kenya, Africa with orphan support and making funds available to purchase cows and Bibles. In Kenya with the click of a button we have helped to organize pastor training conferences. With the click of a button we have let loose written prayers that fly like true arrows and find their mark to uplift heavily burdened souls.
With the click of a simple button you can help share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, changing lives forever. With the click of a simple button you can help the people of Haiti or an orphaned child. How about clicking a button for good today? God can do this with or without you, but you have an opportunity to honor Him and bring glory to His name with just the click of a button. We have never had such power before in all of the history of manking. See the button...the power is in your hands go do good today.
