One of the most awesome benefits of partnering with M300 Ministries is to be able take full advantage of a free network of committed followers, leaders, ministers, missionaries and lay Christians who are fully engaged in the service of the Lord. An even more awesome benefit is to be able to give, share, encourage, pray for and have full knowledge and participation in ministry needs and activities around the world.
Principles
As Director of M300 Ministries I want to share the following thoughts about principles and the "ME" mindset. It is interesting to note that the inspirational passage for M300 Ministries is found in the book of Judges chapters 6,7 and 8 and it is there that we find no mention of the individual names of the 300 mighty warriors who were sifted by God. There is no mention of what they gained individually through partnering or unification. There is no mention of anyone getting a trophy or award. Their names are not even mentioned, because God reserved the glory for Himself. The real story is the marvelous and miraculous work that God did through them. The initial 22,000 were allowed to go home because they feared and trembled, but they were not shamed in the process. The remaining 10,000 were not fearful and did not tremble, but the Lord sifted them anyway and came out with 300 men that he said he would use. There was no shame attached to
the remaining 9,700 who were allowed to go home. God just did not require their service to defeat the Midianites. In the same way if you are invited to partner and you prayerfully do not feel led by God to partner, there is no shame in this. God will lead a partnering of those who He sifts and selects.
M300 Ministries list the names of partnering Mighty Warriors and their respective Mighty Ministries as a way to build coheasion and to build connections which unite rather than divide. Names are not listed for "glory purposes", but are listed as a practical listing enabling each to maintain contact with each other and with supporters. This listing also enables report sharing, blogs, and links to outside ministry websites. Rest assured that each Mighty Warrior is dedicated to humility in the Lord's service and not to self glorification. See Mighty Warriors section for what a Mighty Warrior looks like.
Sometimes simple things get complicated when the Me factor is added into the mix. The 300 did not let the ME get in the way, but they did voluntarily partner in a bond of unity and
peace, ready and willing to enter into greater service. They had the attitude of one who says, "Here am I, Lord send me!" Isn't that exactly the attitude that the Lord looks for today?
Some may ask, "What's in it for me?" "How will I benefit by partnering, or how will my ministry benefit?" This is a topic of concern for me to address for a variety of reasons because the understanding given to me about M300 Ministries is that, "It has to be all about Jesus!"
In this strict sense there is no room for ME, only for Jesus. We are so often brought back to the great contention between the Spirit and the flesh. What's in it for me?, has always been the question that men have responded to God with. Then along came one who turned everything upside down and inside out, the greatest servant Jesus the Christ, The Messiah, The Son of the Living God who says, "Deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow me"
It is understood that today's ministry leaders are very hard pressed, with many complicated demands upon them. They are well traveled, very focused and engaged in the daily battles of running ministries, Not for Profits or ministering at churches.I have communicated with ministry leaders over the course of today who were on airplanes returning from Thailand, driving cars in Houston, Texas, working in Amarillo or ministering in Honduras. When invited to partner and mutually assist each
other in the Lord's work, the weary ministry leader often replies, "I have my hands full already, I am hard pressed, I don't need another ministry concern...What's in it for me if I partner with M300 Ministries?" "How will my ministry benefit?"
In this frame of thought I have real compassion for today's hard pressed ministry leaders and I have attempted to provide a few of the many tangible benefits of partnering with M300 Ministries as listed above.
God used his 300 sifted warriors and Gideon in the process of saving the nation of Israel. It is with excited anticipation that M300 Ministries invites partnership, sharing, connecting and
unity in ministry and missions because this kind of faith has it's reward and God will glorify himself as dominions, principalities, strongholds and evil powers are overcome and Kingdom presence is established. Let it not be so much about us, but rather about the Lord who works in us. Which is greater, the Sabaath? or the Lord of the Sabaath? Let us strive together to better connect the world of Christian ministry and missions.
Blessings,
Wayne Gaines
